Our organization (In Time of Need, Inc) was founded in 1995 and was granted 501 (c) (3) status (tax exemption) in 2003. Our primary focus is to positively impact the lives of disadvantaged youth throughout America. We are an Atlanta based charity, that realizes just how much work is needed to be done here. With Atlanta, Georgia being so over populated their is a tremendous need for youth services. Our goal is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to achieve. Our organization understands that to help a child, in many cases you also have to assist the parents. With this in mind; we not only have programs for the youth, we also have conferences that are solely for the parents of the children that participate with our organization.
We are currently forming partnerships with other positive organizations such as: school systems, sports organizations, recreation departments, churches, local businesses, as well as local government agencies. It truly takes a community to raise a child, and by building partnerships we become a COMMUNITY! By offering innovative ways of reaching today's youth and their families, we can all become the solution to making a difference. Working together means that we are reaching at-risk youth in the areas that we serve.
To this date, we have successfully assisted over 400 at-risk/disadvantaged youth (but with thousands of youth that are in need, this is truly not enough). We believe that every child should have the opportunity to enter post secondary education, and our organization has made that one of our goals. We have assisted these youth by simply caring. ITON realizes that if we do not turn to our youth, our youth will turn to the streets. Please show your support and assist our organization in taking care of HOME FIRST.
