Our History
In Time of Need is a nonprofit in Atlanta feeding the homeless. In Time of Need, Inc. was founded in the state of North Carolina in 1997. We still have operations in the state of North Carolina, but we have moved our headquarters to Atlanta, Georgia. We believe that no one should ever forget about our children, because children are definitely the future. With this in mind we have created a variety of year-round programs to keep at-risk youth occupied with positive outlets. If we do not keep the youth busy; they could end up in on drugs, in prison, or dead.
We also have programs to assist with individuals and families that are homeless, Feeding the Hungry, Assisting with Utilities, Cancer Research, Mentoring At-risk youth, AI Readiness, Rental Assistance, Sports Programs, Arts Programs, etc. We are intentional about education, so we open a school called Atlanta College Preparatory Academy. In Time of Need, Inc. has hosted a Thanksgiving and Christmas campaign for the past 25 years. We understand that to change the world we must provide positive programs for at-risk youth. We also understand that to help the child in many cases you must also help the parent(s).
